PNP, LRT sign MOA for better police visibility
The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) and Philippine National Police (PNP)? signed Tuesday a memorandum of agreement for police visibility and provision of immediate action or assistance to ensure the safety and security of LRT commuters, personnel, equipment and facilities.? ?
The partnership also aims to intensify campaign on safety and security awareness on criminal activities, modus operandi and crime prevention through information dissemination.
The MOA states the setting up of women's desks at Santolan, Cubao, and Recto stations to deter incidents of sexual advances and unlawful activities inside LRT premises.

LRTA will provide FREE ride to all police personnel in complete and prescribed uniform with valid PNP ID card??.
The MOA also states the PNP will provide information materials on crime prevention tips and other PNP programs??.

PNP chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa and LRTA administrator Reynaldo Berroya led the signing of the agreement.
In his speech, Dela Rosa expressed hope to strengthen crime prevention through the partnership "and promote a greater feeling of safety and security among commuters and the general public."
