A call center employee who has been missing since last week has been found dead in Rizal province, with his head covered in duct tape and a stab wound in the neck.
A report on Unang Balita identified the victim as Marvin Jacla, an employee of ca call center based in Makati City.
His mother said Jacla went to work in the morning of January 11, and failed to return home.
The mother told GMA News that when she called Jacla's office, she was informed that the victim went out early and went on a half-day leave.
After reporting to the police, Jacla's family immediately spread his photos in a desperate effort to find him.
On Monday night, a concerned citizen told the family that Jacla could have been the dead person found in Tanay, Rizal last January 12.
The family positively identified the body as that of Jacla because of his striped T-shirt.

Aside from the stab wound, Jacla's attackers also poured muriatic acid on his body.
Despite the gruesome death of the victim, his family said Jacla could have been a victim of carjacking.
