Duterte to former prof Joma: Magkita tayo, sampalin kita
President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday threatened to slap his former professor and Communist Party of the Philippines founding chairperson Jose Maria Sison if their paths crossed.
Duterte, before soldiers in Mawab town in Compostela Valley, berated the communist rebels anew for attacking government forces as he also urged the soldiers to "destroy" the New People's Army.
The President also lashed out at Sison, whom he described as "desperate" for having "no second echelons" in his organization.
"Magkita tayo Sison sampalin kita, tignan mo. Oo, walay binuang. T– ina, tambaluson ta gyud ka. Hambugerong y–. Sige, umuwi ka, lagpot nang imong Inintsik na sinultihan. Tikim ka talaga sa akin ng… ‘yan, mao na'y storya diha. Unsa pa ma'y lain? Leader leader? Mao na," he said.
[If we will meet, I will slap you. Watch out. Yes, I'm not kidding. Son of a b–, I'll really curse at you. Arrogant devil. Go ahead, come home, your Chinese-like speech will be thrown out. You'll really get a taste of my... that's it, that's the story. What else? Leader leader? That's it?]
Duterte did not say why he lambasted Sison again, but the CPP founding chair in an interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer called on the youth to hold protests against the current administration.
Earlier, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque hoped that Sison has enough grandchildren to heed his call. — BAP, GMA News
