PNPA's top 2018 cadet to heed Bato's call to join SAF
SILANG, Cavite —The top-notcher of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) class of 2018 will join the police's elite Special Action Force (SAF).
The class valedictorian, Police Cadet Fritz John Napalinga Vallador, 24, from Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, will receive the Presidential Kampilan Award from President Rodrigo Duterte.
His foster mother, Nelia Deocares said that Vallador will join the SAF following the order of PNP chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.
“Masaya, excited, may takot kasi after this sasabak ulit sila sa isa namang training sa SAF ata,” Deocares said.
“Magte-train after this. May order na kaagad si General Dela Rosa na kailangan nilang mag-training sa SAF,” she added.
The country’s top cop earlier urged the top PNPA graduating cadets to join the SAF.
Dela Rosa had said he would not want the budding police officials to immediately join the government's drug war.
“Baka matuto sila ng hindi maganda doon sa mga maro-maro na pulis,” he said.
"Isabak natin ito sa Special Action Force lahat. Giyera muna kayo, giyera. 'Wag muna kayo pahayahay, baka mamaya mag-volunteer kayo kaagad sa CIDG (Criminal Investigation and Detection Group) or Region 4A o NCRPO (National Capital Region Police Office), no, SAF kayong lahat," he said.
"You should become good warriors of the PNP. You will become very good officers 'pag ka doon kayo magsimula sa SAF," he added.
Villador’s biological mother, who is working as a domestic helper in Spain, will not be able to join the graduation rites at Camp General Mariano Castañeda on Wednesday.
