Albayalde formally appointed PNP chief
President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday formally appointed National Capital Region police chief Oscar Albayalde as head of the Philippine National Police, a document released by Malacañang showed.

Albayalde is set to succeed outgoing PNP chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, who will assume the post of Bureau of Corrections chief after his retirement.
Albayalde will take his oath of office on April 18.
Two other appointment papers were released to the media by the Palace.
Duterte appointed Paul Yang Cha deputy administrator of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Authority and promoted Captain Teotimo Borja Jr. to commodore in the Philippine Coast Guard. —Virgil Lopez/KBK, GMA News
