Palace: Duterte visit to S. Korea to center on trade, OFW welfare

President Rodrigo Duterte will be visiting South Korea to discuss the Philippines’ trade relations with its Asian neighbor, as well as check on the welfare of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) there.

Asked about the possible agenda of Duterte during his visit, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque Jr. only gave general answers, saying he was reserving details of the trip for Monday's regular briefing in Malacañang.

South Korea's presidential office had announced on Friday that Duterte will be visiting from June 3 to 5. He is among the world leaders expected to attend a summit on June 4 to discuss measures on reinforcing their alliance and further improve their ties.
