Palace hits back at Trillanes over call for Duterte to undergo drug test

Malacañang on Thursday hit back at Senator Antonio Trillanes IV after he dared President Rodrigo Duterte and his family to undergo drug test.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said Duterte will not take orders from anyone and he may take the drug test if he wants to.

Trillanes issued the challenge after he tested negative for illegal drugs based on the result of a surprise drug test conducted in the Senate last month.

The result showed that Trillanes was tested negative for cocaine, ecstacy, metamphetamine, morphine, and tetrahydrocannabinol.

The opposition senator said Duterte should take the drug test to prove to the public that the chief campaigner of the war on narcotics is not under the influence of illegal drugs. — Virgil Lopez/RSJ, GMA News
