Sara Duterte: Sison may claim President is an alien
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte on Tuesday criticized Communist Party of the Philippines founding chairman Jose Maria Sison after he claimed that President Rodrigo Duterte had lapsed into a coma.
The President’s daughter gave the statement a day after her father appeared on a video that showed him having dinner with a woman at a Davao City hotel.
Duterte also hit back at Sison, saying the communist leader was the one who was sick and was abusing the privileges allegedly given to him by The Netherlands where he is seeking asylum as a political refugee since 1987.
“Some years ago, Joma Sison sent me chocolates and a note. It was a surprise because I did not think he knew me then, nevertheless, the message was rational and pleasant,” Sara Duterte said in a statement.
The mayor said Sison’s recent Facebook post about a “dying” President was “not rational.”
“His recent Facebook posts about the dying PRD [President Duterte] is not rational and napaisip ako kung siya ba ang nag-post or baka caretaker na lang ni Joma,” she said.
“My guess is, at the rate that he or his caretaker is unraveling, he will soon say PRD is not human but an alien in the form of Rodrigo Duterte.??“
The mayor earlier said the President had sinigang na ribs and pansit for lunch on Monday and that her father has been “very transparent” about his health.
“I am also gratified that the aforesaid video shows Duterte truly looking very tired and dispirited, his face still very dark and his right eye drooping. He looks like he just came from dialysis or some other kind of treatment on Sunday,” Sison said in a Facebook post.
The communist leader added it looks like Duterte will live long enough to stand trial before the International Criminal Court which opened in February a preliminary inquiry into the unexplained killings being linked to the government’s war on drugs.
Malacañang has since asked the public not to listen to a “spent revolutionary” like Sison who is not a doctor. — RSJ, GMA News
