PDEA warns of new mind-altering substance yet to be included in banned drugs
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency has warned of the proliferation in the country of a new mind-altering drug that has yet to be included in the country's list of banned substances.
In a report on QRT, PDEA spokesman Derrick Carreon said the pyschoactive GMB is mixed with the party drug ecstasy to make it more potent.
The agency is said to be focused on controlling the spread of GMB because it has yet to make the list of illegal drugs under the country's laws.
Another pyschoactive substance PDEA is monitoring is GHB or liquid ecstasy.
Carreon said there are overt 600 kinds of psychoactive substances and seven to eight of these are already in the Philippines. —NB, GMA News
