Trillanes prepares for legal action, spends second night at the Senate
Sentor Antonio Trillanes IV spent his second night at the Senate on Wednesday evening, Vonne Aquino reported on Unang Balita.
A Magdalo group member said that unlike the first night, Trillanes was able to rest inside his office.
Several supporters of the senator and some journalists also remained overnight outside his office.
Aquino also reported that there were no members of the PNP-CIDG in the area and only personnel from the Office of the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms were present.
Earlier, questions were raised as to the presence of the PNP-CIDG at the Senate building on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the legal team of Trillanes is expected to file a motion asking for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) before the Supreme Court as part of efforts to quash the move of President Rodrigo Duterte to declare void the amnesty he received in 2011.
Trillanes earlier said he is ready to answer the move of the Department of Justice to seek a warrant of arrest and Hold Departure Order at the Makati Regional Trial Court. The hearing is set next Thursday, September 13. — BAP, GMA News
