Malacañang on Monday welcomed the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey which showed President Rodrigo Duterte’s public satisfaction rating bouncing back from a record low in June.

The survey results released on Saturday showed that 70 percent of adult Filipinos were satisfied with Duterte while 16 percent of the respondents were dissatisfied, giving the President a net satisfaction rating of +54 which the SWS classified as “very good.”

According to the latest survey, the President recovered from his lowest recorded score of "good" +45 in the second quarter.

Roque then advised the opposition to look for another issue to be raised against Duterte other than pouncing on the chief executive’s controversial remarks.

The same survey, however, showed that 83 percent of the 1,500 adult respondents, surveyed from September 15-23, 2018, found the President's "God is stupid" remark bastos or vulgar.

Sixty-three percent expressed the same view about Dutertes remark last August that there are many rape cases in Davao City because of the many beautiful women living there.” — Virgil Lopez/RSJ, GMA News
