UST grad tops CPA licensure exams
A graduate of the University of Sto. Tomas is the topnotcher in the October 2018 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced.

Lahaira Amy Cayog Reyes has a percentage rating of 91.83, the highest score among 3,616 successful examinees out of 14,358 who took the examinations.
In second place is Erick Jan Solano Sagot of the Ateneo de Davao University with 91.17 rating and followed by Patrisha Nahveline Jimenez Cordero of Holy Angel University with 90.67 while UST's Marc Angelo Samson Sanchez is in fourth place.
Sharing the fifth spot are Lanz Adrian MArtin Cruz (FEU-Manila), Charissa Mae Severino Espinola (UST), Juan Miguel Garcia Mallare (New Era University), and Kathleen Mae Torres Puno (UST).
In sixth place are Joanne Lynsley Tuason Go (UP-Diliman), Aubrey Nicole David Jimenez (Tarlac State University), Krizzia Peal Evangelista (PUP-Main).
Samuel Joshua Cortez Tongol (Tarlac State University), Lyka Ranette Alejano Borja (UP-Visayas Iloilo), Decel Bert Arado Bokingo (Xavier University), PAtrick Jefferson Young dela Cruz (University of Caloocan City), Renz Casanova Criste (PUP-Main), Von Zedrick Bautista Cruz (Kingfisher School of Business and Finance, James Andrew Hernandez Licaros (UST), Gladyleanne Sabater Lunz (Lyceum of the Philippines-Laguna), and Veil Keana Batallon Velarde (Holy Angel University) complete the top ten list.
Meanwhile, 25 out of 188 passed the Special Professional Licensure Examinations for CPA given by the Board of Accountancy in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Al-Khobar, Jeddah and Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and in Singapore last August 2018. — BAP, GMA News
