Teddy ‘Boy’ Locsin will breeze through CA, say 2 senators
It seems Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro “Boy” Locsin Jr. would breeze through the powerful Commission on Appointments, two senators said Friday.
In a post on his Twitter account, Senator Panfilo Lacson described Locsin facing the CA as “easier than singing in the shower.”
“DFA Sec. Teddy Boy Locsin’s appointment is up for the Commission on Appointment’s confirmation next week. As chair of the Foreign Affairs committee, I think it will be easier than singing in the shower,” he said.

Senator Aquilino Pimentel III, for his part, said he has not heard any concern about Locsin’s appointment.
“I haven't heard of any concern re appointment of Sec. Locsin. Hence, most likely smooth sailing,” Pimentel said in a text message.
President Rodrigo Duterte appointed Locsin in October, replacing DFA Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano, who is running for Taguig City representative.
Prior to his appointment, Locsin served as Philippine Ambassador to the United Nations. He is a lawyer, former journalist, and was the representative of the First District of Makati from 2001 to 2010. — Amita Legaspi/RSJ, GMA News
