PNP names new spokesperson
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has named its new spokesperson, dzBB's Jonathan Andal reported Dobol B on News TV on Tuesday.
Police Senior Superintendent Bernard Banac will replace Police Chief Superintendent Benigno Durana as acting chief of the PNP's Public Information Office.

Meanwhile, Durana has been assigned as the new acting director of the police's Directorate for Community Relations.
"My marching orders is to effectively communicate the programs and policies of the PNP with utmost transparency and of great service to the public," Banac told members of the PNP Press Corps upon assuming the new post.
Prior to his new designation, Banac, a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1992, served as assistant chief of the PNP Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies (PNP - SOSIA).
Banac, who took up BS Civil Engineering at the University of the Philippines, served as provincial director of the province of Sorsogon from May 2014 to July 2015. He was also assigned as senior executive assistant to the chief of police from July 2015 to June 2016.
Banac was also tasked to lead the PNP's engineering service from January 2018 to May 2018.
