Sara Duterte says Bong Go will stop doing 'skit' on failed Kris-Philip romance

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte on Wednesday said former special assistant to president Christopher "Bong" Go will stop joking about the failed romance between TV personality Kris Aquino and actor Philip Salvador after Aquino said she was offended by it.

"I'm sure, ngayon nagsabi na 'yung object ng kanilang skit that she is offended, I'm sure they will listen because they are the kind of people who are aware kung ano ang kailangan nilang gawin," Mayor Duterte told reporters during Hugpong ng Pagbabago's campaign stop in San Juan City.

"I'm sure they will stop [doing that skit]," she added.

Go is one of the 13 Senate bets being fielded by the Sara Duterte-led HNP.

In an Instagram post, Aquino said she was offended when she saw the video of Go jokingly telling Salvador, "Naloko mo nga si Kris Aquino eh." The video was reportedly taken during one of PDP-Laban's campaign sorties.

The "skit," as Mayor Duterte described it, is a staple during campaign stops between Go and Salvador, oftentimes leading to a performance of "Nandito Ako," a song used in a 1994 movie that starred Aquino and Salvador.

Salvador has a son with Aquino, Josh, who is now 23 years old.

Mayor Duterte, however, did not give a categorical answer when asked if she finds such a skit in bad taste. "'Di ako nakikinig sa speech nila," she said.

The daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte campaigns for each of the 13 HNP bets, telling voters why each of the 13 deserves to be elected in the Senate.

During stops, Mayor Duterte routinely campaigns for Go first, citing his 27 years of working for her father.  —KBK, GMA News
