Duterte appoints former police, transportation officials to gov’t posts

President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed former Davao Region police chief Manuel Gaerlan and former Department of Transportation assistant secretary Dante Lantin to government posts, according to documents released by Malacañang on Monday.

Gaerlan was appointed as board member of the Clark Development Corporation, which is mandated to administer, manage and develop the Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ).

His one-year term started on July 1, 2018 and will end on June 30, 2019.

Duterte named Lantin as member of  the Philippine Racing Commission (PHILRACOM) for a term of four years.

Both appointment papers were signed by the President on February 28. —KG, GMA News
