Army wants over 5,000 new soldiers; five percent of slots for women
The Philippine Army is looking to recruit over 5,000 new soldiers, the Office of the Army Chief Public Affairs said on Monday.
“This 2019, we are looking for 5,387 new soldiers to join our force,” the Office of the Army Chief Public Affairs told GMA News Online.
At least 610 slots are open for new officers, while 4,777 slots are for enlisted personnel.
Only five percent of the slots are allotted for women.
Aside the regular soldiers, the Army are also looking for doctors, nurses, dentists, teachers and other skilled or talented individuals who can fill up support roles in the Army.
Officer Candidate will receive pay and allowances of P42, 146 monthly, while P47, 356 for 2LT (Call to Active Duty), P23, 777 for Candidate Soldier, and P37, 038 for Private (Enlisted Personnel).
