Rosales said the new members of the College of Cardinals will also have the privilege of electing the Popeâs successor. âActually [Iâm leaving] the day after tomorrow. Although the Pontiff already announced the names of those elevated to the cardinalship last October 17, the new cardinals will receive their titles, red hats and rings of office at a ceremony on November 24.
