Comelec reminds bets: Campaign materials prohibited in public places

As political campaigning for the May 13 midterm polls hits the home stretch, the Commission on Elections reminded candidates anew to refrain from posting campaign materials in public areas.

Likewise, Comelec Information officer Sarah Jane Asis said the allowed dimension for campaign posters is 2x3 feet.

"Bawal pong maglagay ng any campaign poster sa public places," she said in a report on GMA News' "24 Oras Weekend" on Sunday.

Puwede naman po sa private property, as long as may consent ng owner," said Asis.

She observes that campaign posters were still seen hanging or being plastered in public places, and some were even used as banderitas in certain areas.

—Jon Viktor Cabuenas/LBG, GMA News
