Duterte dines with celebrities in Malacañang

President Rodrigo Duterte and his partner Honeylet Avanceña hosted a dinner for a number of celebrities in Malacañang on Tuesday.

The Palace on Wednesday released photos of the gathering which, according to Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, was held to thank the President's celebrity supporters. 

Among those who attended the dinner were Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez, former Tourism Promotions Board chief Cesar Montano, former Overseas Workers Welfare Administration deputy administrator Arnell Ignacio, sisters Toni and Alex Gonzaga, Philip Salvador, Aiko Melendez, Eddie Gutierrez, his wife Annabelle Rama and daughter Ruffa Gutierrez, former National Youth Commission chairperson Ice Seguerra and his wife Film Development Council of the Philippines Liza Diño Seguerra and singer Dulce.

Other celebrities who dined with the President were Robin Padilla and his wife Mariel Rodriguez, John Lloyd Cruz and athlete-turned-host Gretchen Ho, who figured in the latest matrix of individuals supposedly involved in an alleged plot to discredit the Duterte administration and boost the chances of the opposition in the midterm elections.

The matrix was released by the Palace on Wednesday, a day after the event.
