ACT-CIS leads party-list race


The Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT) party-list led the party-list race by a mile with over 500,000 votes based on the partial and official count of the Commission on Elections sitting as National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) on Tuesday evening.

As of 9:30 pm, with certificates of canvass from 34 clustered precincts already counted, ACT-CIS garnered 560,220 votes or over 300,000 more than second ranked and consistent party-list race winner Bayan Muna which had 216, 673 votes.

ACT-CIS is being endorsed by TV personality Erwin Tulfo, a known supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Ako-Bicol party-list secured third place thus far with 174,268, followed by Probinsyano Ako (154,554 vote) Cibac (146,751 votes) and Ang Probinsyano (116,275 votes).

Rounding up the top 10 were:

  • Gabriela (109,303 votes)
  • Buhay (105,454 votes)
  • 1-Pacman (112,348 votes)
  • Senior Citizens (110,086 votes) and
  • Philreca (86,315 votes)

Those who garnered over 58,000 votes were:

  • SBP (83,881 votes)
  • Apec (83,231 votes)
  • Magsasaka (80,646 votes)
  • Coop-Nattco (78,707 votes)
  • Alliance of Concerned Teachers (68,607 votes)
  • Marino (67,752 votes)
  • Duterte Youth (64,882 votes)
  • Tingog Sinirangan (61,928 votes)
  • Abante Pilipinas (59,320 votes) and
  • Ako Bisaya 58,000

The NBOC’s canvassing of votes will resume on 10 am on Wednesday, May 15.

The top vote-getter in party-list race will get three seats in the House of Representatives, while the seats of the rest of the field will range from one to two House seats, depending on the voter turnout for party-list race and the votes earned by the party-list groups. — BAP, GMA News
