Guanzon says PPCRV should also look into transparency server glitch

An official of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Wednesday said the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) should also look into the glitch in the poll body's transparency server last Tuesday.

"PPCRV has not issued a statement eh andoon naman sila. So maganda rin po na may pagsusuri nila na sarili nila, 'yung PPCRV," Commissioner Rowena Guanzon told reporters. "They have their own experts there."

According to Commissioner Marlon Casquejo, java error was the reason why there was a dip in the election results in the Comelec's transparency server early Tuesday morning.

Casquejo said it had affected all media organizations.

Agnes Gervacio, media director of the PPCRV, on Tuesday told media reporters that the poll watchdog has been coordinating with the Comelec regarding such matters.

A glitch also occurred on Monday evening that Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said may be due to a problem with the application that pushes the data from the transparency server to the different media outlets.

The hitch in the system caused a halt to the unofficial count of media organizations and watchdog groups for the 2019 midterm elections. —KBK, GMA News
