Police seize more than P12M from vote-buying incidents
Data from the Philippine National Police (PNP) showed that more than P12 million was seized from vote-buying incidents in the recent midterm elections.
According to the PNP, the amount confiscated reached P12,208,958 as of May 14.

The PNP data indicated that Region XIII (Caraga) had the highest amount of money confiscated, which was at P7,976,100.
Caraga Region was followed by Region X (P1,125,718), Region I (P561,000) and the National Capital Region (P541,100).
Police Colonel Bernard Banac, PNP spokesman, said authorities have recorded 225 vote-buying incidents in which 356 individuals were arrested.
