Tito Sotto sees FPJ telling Eddie Garcia, ‘Ang tagal mong sumunod!’
Senate President Vicente Sotto III could only imagine a happy reunion in heaven with the passing on of veteran actor Eddie Garcia and the late action king Fernando Poe Jr welcoming him.
“I'm suddenly reminded of our 2004 campaign. As FPJ was onstage, Manoy Eddie would creep in and make the crowd more jubilant,” Sotto said in a message to reporters.
Sotto was the campaign manager when Poe run for president in 2004. Poe, who lost to now House Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo died in December that year.
Creeping into heaven
“Ronnie will now see him as he creeps into Heaven and meet his old buddy,” Sotto said.
“Alam ko sa sabihin ni Ronnie sa kanya... 'Bakit ang tagal mo sumunod?'" he added.
Sotto said that he could still remember their happy times during the campaign, especially when Poe and Garcia were together. He said the memories brought him tears now.
