Unusually high level of floodwater causes panic in Malabon

Chest-high floodwaters hit a village in Malabon City Monday night, submerging vehicles and houses – and causing many residents to panic. In a radio interview, Reynaldo Alejandro, chairman of Brgy. Tañong, said residents panicked with the unusual level reached by floodwaters. He said that while the area was prone to flooding during high tide and during rains, the waters were "unusually high" Monday night. In fact, even portions of C-4 road that was usually unaffected by floods were submerged.
