Demolition, clearing ops conducted inside Bilibid
Personnel from seven government agencies on Wednesday conducted clearing and demolition operations inside the New Bilibid Prison.
The more or less 1,500 personnel came from the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, National Bureau of Investigation, Department of Public Works and Highways and the Bureau and Fire Protection.

The operation started at 4 a.m. with the security provided by a PNP Special Weapon and Tactics (SWAT) team.
The operation is expected to last for five days.
Among those that are set to be demolished are the "kubols" of high profile and influential inmates.
National Capital Region Police Office chief Major General Guillermo Eleazar said the "kubols" are the priorities as these are where transactions involving illegal drugs inside the NBP usually occur.
By 9:34 a.m., all infrastructures around Building 1 have been demolished.
