27 officers relieved from posts in revamp at PNP-Civil Security Group
Twenty-seven police officers in the PNP's Civil Security Group have been relieved from their respective posts.
According to a press statement, the revamp was done in line with the PNP-CSG's attempt to rid its ranks of corrupt officials.
The affected officers also include those from the Firearms and Explosives Office and the Supervisory Office on Security and Investigation Agencies.
"If the senior officers cannot stop the corruption in in the FEO, SOSIA and CSG, maybe the junior officers who will replace can deliver," PNP-CSG chief Police Major General Roberto Fajardo said.
The streamlining of procedures to get operating permits and gun licenses allegedly have been met with resistance as it affected corrupt practices at the FEO and SOSIA.
"It is indeed necessary to reorganize the key positions in the entire CSG," Fajardo said. —NB, GMA News
