At least 10 students hurt in quake drill in QC

At least 10 students of Batasan National High School in Quezon City were hurt during an earthquake drill on Thursday, according to a report by Allan Gatus on GMA's Balitanghali.

Around 7,000 students have participated in the annual quake drill.

But in the middle of the activity, 10 students felt dizzy and were hurt as the crowd pushed their way through.

Some of the students fell down due to the slanted entrance of the Batasan National High School, which could have started a stampede. Fortunately, the teachers, guards, and first responders immediately assisted the students, the report said.

Teacher Ryan Gomez, the focal person of school disaster risk reduction and management, said they have immediately administered first aid treatment to the affected students, who were later brought to the school clinic. —Joviland Rita/LDF, GMA News
