Duterte meets new Chinese envoy Huang Xilian in Malacañang

President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday met with China’s new ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian in Malacañang.
Huang went to the Palace to present his credentials to Duterte.
In his remarks, Duterte spoke about the “great” friendship between the Philippines and China and wished Huang a “productive” stay in the country.
For his part, the ambassador said he would exhaust all efforts to promote bilateral relations. He also wished prosperity for the Philippines and success and good health for the President.
Apart from China, Duterte also met with the new envoys of Denmark, Sri Lanka, Greece, Myanmar and South Africa.
Huang arrived in Manila on Tuesday and told reporters "the best is yet to come" regarding Beijing's ties with Manila.
