Chief Justice Peralta implores SC workforce to live with humility, compassion

Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta encouraged fellow justices, officials, and other employees of the Supreme Court to do some introspection and follow the examples set by Jesus Christ as the Christmas holiday nears.

"The real spirit of Christmas can be found when we look inside ourselves and follow the example set by Jesus Christ: to live in humility and be beacons of goodwill and compassion. That, for me, is the significant example of leading and living by example," Peralta said in a Christmas message he delivered before SC employees on Friday.

The Supreme Court held its Christmas celebration this year with the theme: "Paglilingkod na Matapat, Dahilan ng Maligayang Pasko sa Korte Suprema."

An interfaith worship service and thanksgiving mass were also held on Friday morning as part of the event.
