Firm no longer authorized to receive requests for civil documents —PSA


Pilipinas Teleserv Inc. is no longer be authorized to receive requests for civil registry documents, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) announced on Wednesday.

In a notice, PSA said that the agreement allowing requests for civil registry documents through PSA Helpline Plus was officially terminated in December 2019.

"In view of such termination, Teleserv is no longer authorized to receive requests for civil registry documents from any party.  Any transaction made with Teleserv through PSA Helpline Plus will not be honored by PSA," PSA said.

Aside from going to regional and provincial outlets and Batch Request Entry System partners from SM malls and local government unit partners, the public may request for civil registry documents through PSA Serbilis.

In December 2020, the PSA and Teleserv signed a memorandum of agreement for the activation of the PSAHelpline.ph (formerly NSO Helpline Plus) as an alternative channel for PSA clients in securing copies of civil registry documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, and certificates of no marriage.

Under the agreement, Pilipinas Teleserv, through the online platform PSAHelpline.ph, shall handle the order-taking, payment acceptance, and delivery of PSA documents requested by the public through its website. —Joahna Lei Casilao/NB, GMA News
