Source says Philippines’ first novel coronavirus case in ‘stable’ condition

The country's first confirmed case of novel coronavirus infection is in stable condition at the San Lazaro Hospital in Manila.

According to Mariz Umali's report on "24 Oras", it's the boyfriend of the 38-year-old woman who has been having having difficulty breathing and on-and-off fever.

A source said the man already had fever when he and the confirmed case were admitted to the hospital.

The source added that the man had pneumonia.

He, however, was found negative of nCoV infection after the results of the confirmatory test came back from Australia.

The Department of Health, on the contrary, said that the Chinese man's confirmatory test results have yet to come back.

Aside from the confirmed case and her boyfriend who is now considered a person under investigation, there are two other PUIs at the San Lazaro Hospital. —NB, GMA News
