WATCH: Pinoys in MV Diamond Princess doing well amid quarantine

Some Filipinos aboard the MV Diamond Princess cruise ship docked in Japan’s Yokohama Port said they are doing well despite the lockdown after one of its passengers tested positive for the 2019 novel coronavirus or COVID-19.

Over 3,700 passengers and crew members, including 538 Filipinos, have been quarantined since February 3.

Authorities said 130 people on the ship have already tested positive for the virus.

One Filipino aboard the ship disclosed to GMA News that they are in good condition while under quarantine.

“Okay naman kami dito ng kasama ko. Hindi naman kami pinabayaan ng Japanese government or ng company.”

Other Filipinos said as much, adding that they are well fed and taken care of aboard the ship.
