PhilPost employees now exempted from home quarantine -Nograles
Employees of the Philippine Postal Corporation have been exempted from the strict home quarantine policy implemented by the government in Luzon to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), a Malacañang official said Tuesday.
Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said in a virtual press briefing that the exemption was made by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases following a meeting on Monday.
“Provided that such exemption shall be without prejudice to the requirement of strict social distancing measures in their establishments,” he said.
Previously, only public health workers and employees of establishments providing basic necessities as well as financial services were allowed to go out of their homes to work during the enhanced community quarantine.
The Luzon-wide quarantine began on March 17 and will end on April 13. --KBK, GMA News
