LGUs must ensure tricycle drivers not overcharging -DILG
The spokesman of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Friday reminded local government units to monitor the fare of tricycles following the resumption of their operations.
Interviewed on Dobol B sa News TV, Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya said the DILG would release a memorandum on the fare matrix of tricycles.
The agency earlier said tricycles, as well as pedicabs, are allowed in secondary roads regulated by local government units.
Safety and health protocols must be observed when they ply the streets, according to the DILG.
Tricycle and pedicab units must regularly be disinfected, it added. -MDM, GMA News
