DOJ chief Guevarra tests negative for COVID-19

Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said Monday he has tested negative for COVID-19.

Guevarra said he underwent a swab test on Sunday as a requirement for attendance at President Rodrigo Duterte's State of the Nation Address (SONA).

The official earlier said he had also tested negative in previous rapid tests.

Days before the President's fifth SONA, 10 employees of the Presidential Communications Operations Office's (PCOO) main office in Manila tested positive for COVID-19.

PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar, who tested negative, said his office's SONA coverage will proceed as planned. — Nicole-Anne C. Lagrimas/RSJ, GMA News
