Duterte on his SONA: Kung hindi ninyo ako naiintindihan sa binabasa ko, mas lalo ako

In his 5th State of the Nation Address, President Rodrigo Duterte threw a joke that even he could not understand the speech he is delivering at the Batasang Pambansa.

"Kung hindi ninyo ako naiintindihan sa binabasa ko, mas lalo ako..." Duterte said in jest on Monday.

Duterte was discussing economic and social programs of his administration before he made the joke. 

After that, Duterte mentioned hiring and deploying more than 20,000 health professionals by 2021 to improve the county's health system.

The President also complained of poor eyesight while touting the country’s fiscal position and credit rating.

“Because of the light I have … My eyesight is not as good as new,” the 75-year-old leader said.
