National Printing Office suspends work until Aug. 14 after 32 employees contracted COVID-19
The National Printing Office (NPO) has suspended work at its office in Quezon City for two weeks after 32 employees contracted COVID-19, according to the agency’s director Francisco Vales Jr. on Tuesday.
Disinfection of NPO premises and mandatory quarantine for employees who tested positive for the virus and those who came in contact with COVID-19 cases would be implemented during the work suspension, which began on Monday and will run until August 14.
“Further, the NPO has adopted a work-from-home arrangement during this period, with precautionary measures in line with existing safety policies are continually being implemented within the office," the NPO said.
The NPO is an attached agency of the Presidential Communications Operations Office, which reported 71 COVID-19 active cases on Tuesday.
Vales said work at the NPO will resume on August 17. —LDF, GMA News
