PNP records 27 new COVID-19 cases
The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday recorded 27 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) among its employees, bringing the total number to 2,434.
Latest data from the PNP showed that total recoveries also climbed to 1,479 after 51 more personnel recovered from the viral disease.
Meanwhile, the death toll reached 12 after one more employee succumbed to the illness. The fatality was a 49-year-old female assigned to the National Administrative Support Units (NASU).
As of 6 p.m. of August 7, there were 2,592 suspected COVID-19 cases and 878 probable cases within the PNP.

- Crime Laboratory (CL) — 1
