Gamboa orders revamp in PNP after retirement of NPTI chief
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Archie Francisco Gamboa has directed the reassignment of three police generals and two police colonels to some lead units.
According to the PNP Public Information Office on Friday, Gamboa designated Police Brigadier General Herminio Tadeo Jr. to lead the PNP Finance Service after serving as director of the PNP Health Service.
Tadeo was replaced by Police Colonel Arthur Cabalona, who was formerly assigned at the Directorate for Comptrollership.
Meanwhile, Police Colonel Arcadio Jamora Jr., from EOD/K9, was named as the acting executive officer of DIPO (Directorate for Integrated Police Operations)-Northern Luzon.
Police Brigadier General Alfred Corpus, on the other hand, was assigned to lead the National Police Training Institute (NPTI). He formerly served as the director of the DIPO-Western Mindanao.
Police Brigadier General Ferdinand Daway replaced Corpus as the new director of DIPO-Western Mindanao.
The latest revamp was because of the retirement of NPTI director Police Major General Ramon Rafael on August 28, the PNP PIO said.—AOL, GMA News
