PNP-DEG head Caramat named as next Caraga police chief
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Camilo Pancratius Cascolan has designated Police Brigadier General Romeo Caramat Jr. to lead Police Regional Office - Caraga, the PNP's public information office said Tuesday.
Caramat will replace Police Brigadier General Joselito Esquivel who will retire from police service on Thursday, September 17.
Caramat, chief of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group, will be replaced by Police Brigadier General Armando De Leon, who is the deputy regional director for administration of Police Regional Office XI (Davao Region).
Moreover, Cascolan tapped Police Colonel Detran Jr. to take De Leon's post also effective on Thursday.
The PNP chief said "in every movement and reassignment, we adhere to the principle of putting the right person on the right job to ensure effective performance and better service to the public."
Cascolan also reminded all regional directors and commanders on the development and presence of leaders at all levels and at all times.
“Following the principle of command responsibility, we will always hold unit commanders and leaders accountable in the accomplishment of their tasks and in upholding human rights and enforcing the rule of law,” he said.—AOL, GMA News
