Robredo thanks Army for helping OVP deliver PPEs, supplies across Philippines

Vice President Leni Robredo on Wednesday expressed her gratitude to the Philippine Army for extending its assistance to her office’s COVID-19 response.

In a Facebook post, Robredo said that she visited the Philippine Army headquarters on Wednesday afternoon.

“Over the past few months, the men and women of the Philippine Army have been assisting us in delivering PPEs and medical supplies all over the country, and in putting up temporary shelters for frontliners under our The Oasis Project,” she said.

“Most of all, I am grateful for their service to our nation, especially as we face the challenges of our times,” she added.

The Vice President also congratulated now Philippine Army chief Lieutenant General Cirilito Sobejana on his appointment.

Sobejana assumed the post of Army chief on August 4. He formerly served as the commander of the Western Mindanao Command. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
