YouTube, Google services down on Monday evening

YouTube and some Google services appear to have been down on Monday evening, netizens have observed.

“Google” trended on Twitter as some of its services such as Gmail, Gchat and YouTube experienced disruption.

Several netizens took on social media to share their complaints regarding Google’s downtime.

Aside from “Google,” the hashtag #YoutubeDOWN and “Gmail” were also among the trending topics on Twitter.

Last week, “Nagloloko” trended online as Facebook Messenger experienced service disruption on Thursday night.

According to outage tracking website DownDetector.com, majority of the disruption was found in Manila, Poland, Hungary, Belgium, London and parts of Australia.

At 7:48 p.m., DownDetector has collected 14,268 reports regarding issues in accessing Youtube.

However, at 9:18 p.m., it went down to 201 reports.

Meanwhile, from 3,036 reports at 8:07 p.m., Gmail only recorded 117 reports at 9:22 p.m.—LDF, GMA News
