Several provinces record new cases of COVID-19

Several provinces have recorded new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), according to a report on 24 Oras News Alert on Tuesday.

General Santos reported 10 new cases of the respiratory illness, including two minors.

So far, General Santos has a total of 1,317 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 100 active cases, 1,162 recoveries and 55 deaths.

San Jose in Batangas, meanwhile, recorded six new cases of the virus.

Among those who tested positive in the town was a 3-year-old kid.

The local government is now conducting contact tracing to prevent the further spread of the disease.

San Jose has so far reported 210 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 15 active cases, 188 recoveries and seven deaths.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
