Trillanes sees fear in Duterte's tirade against him
Former senator Antonio Trillanes IV said Wednesday he sees fear in the recent tirade of President Rodrigo Duterte against him.
In a press statement, Trillanes said Duterte should relax for now and focus on the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.
“Kitang kita ang takot sa mga pananalita ni Duterte. Relax lang s’ya. Tutukan lang n’ya ang vaccine rollout. Next year pa naman namin s’ya ipapakulong,” he said.
On Tuesday, the President warned the public against the former senator, his staunch critic.
“Be careful of Trillanes. Be careful of Trillanes. Magbantay kayo. He will sell you to the devil. Pag ‘yan ang nakaupo? Patay. Walang hiya ‘yan, sa totoo lang,” he said.
Duterte made the statement during a meeting with local officials and Cabinet members in Surigao del Sur.
He also said that his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, will not run for president in the 2022 national elections.—AOL, GMA News
