Family feud in Zamboanga turns bloody; cop, 4 others die

Warring clans in Zamboanga-Sibugay province engaged in a 30-minute gun battle, killing a policeman and four others, GMA 7's DZBB reported Tuesday. Police officials identified the fatalities as Police Officer (PO) 3 Alvin Adjudji, Hadji Jumajil-Saupi, Usman Saupi, Muti Sajid, and Junhan Indal, all of Bagong Buhay village in Alicia, Zamboanga-Sibugay. Initial reports reaching Camp Crame said 10 members of the Ibuus clan attacked the home of Datu Persung Indal. Indal eventually turned himself over to local authorities after the gunbattle. It was unclear what happened to other members of the Ibuu and Indal clans. Recovered from the crime scene were M-16 armalite rifles and shells from assorted firearms.-GMANews.TV
