Aid distribution suspended at DSWD Central Office from March 19 to March 21, 2021


The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Central Office in Quezon City will be closed starting March 19 until March 21 to disinfect its premises as a precautionary measure against the COVID-19 spread.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, DSWD said it would suspend its transactions including its financial aid, Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) during the shutdown.

The AICS office processes requests for financial aid for medical, burial, transportation and other assistance conducted by the department's Crisis Intervention Unit.

To date, the Philippines has recorded 640,984 COVID-19 cases, with 12,887 deaths and 561,530 recoveries. -Consuelo Marquez/NB, GMA News
