ECQ won't disrupt online classes in NCR Plus -Palace
Online classes and distance learning programs will not be affected by the reimposition of an enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila and neighboring provinces, according to Malacañang.
"Online classes will continue because [students and teachers] do not need to go out of their houses anyway," said Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque Jr. at a media briefing on Saturday.
"Kayo ha, cutting class online [Those of you thinking of cutting classes online]," he said laughing.
Roque's announcement came a day after the Commission on Higher Education said 24 higher education institutions in the country can now conduct limited face-to-face classes effective second semester this academic year 2020-2021.
The new ECQ in the "National Capital Region Plus" - which includes Metro Manila, and the provinces of Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, and Cavite - will be enforced from March 29 to April 4. -MDM, GMA News
