Oral arguments on anti-terror law to resume two weeks after ECQ is lifted —SC

The Supreme Court (SC) said Monday it would resume the oral arguments on the petitions seeking to invalidate the anti-terror law two weeks after the enhanced community quarantine is lifted in the National Capital Region (NCR).

In a statement, the SC Public Information Office said the Court postponed the oral arguments scheduled for Tuesday. The Court last held a hearing on the petitions on March 2.

The National Capital Region, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal — collectively known as NCR Plus — were initially placed under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) from March 29 to April 4 to limit the people’s movement and help prevent the further transmission of the coronavirus.

The government later extended it to April 11.
