Bato dela Rosa's son Rock graduates from PNPA
Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa’s son, Rock, has graduated from the Philippine National Police Police Academy.
The senator and former PNP chief announced the news on Facebook, posting a photo of him hugging his son.
“A father’s love is protecting his son from the cruel world and shielding his son from experiencing the same hardships that he has gone through, thus, my insistence for you not to follow my footsteps but you reneged on my wish and come out victorious today on your graduation from the Academy,” Dela Rosa wrote in the caption.
Dela Rosa in 2017 said that he was proud of his son but at the same time was apprehensive of his Rock’s entry into the PNPA.
He said he would let Rock do what he wanted as his son was determined to enter the academy.
“You have proven to me that you are your own man. I’m so proud of you my son. Congratulations PLt Rock de La Rosa! Welcome to the real world of crimes, insurgency, terrorism and ungrateful masters but with God’s blessing and guidance you will prevail!” Dela Rosa said. --NB, GMA News
